Last Day!!!!!!!!

at last, this was my last day of internship...happy because im done with it, but kinda sad because im gonna miss the beat family...though this was ,my last day, it doesn't mean that im gonna bum around the office...still haggard because the tream experienced some problems regarding their summer special in baler...but everything was resolved...i've really learned so many lessons, not only in productions, but as well as dealing with people (with problems!), dealing with problems and how to maintain your composure during tough times...thanks "the beat"!!!!

14th day

oh my...people kept on asking me on when would be my last day here in the beat...hahaha...was it that they wanted me to finish my internship already or was it because they'll miss me?hahaha anyway, my day started just the same...did some clerical works, researches, retriebing of file videos and so on...late in the afternoon, i was asked again to do some voice over but sadly, i can't have a copy of it because it's their property ( i could've add it to the MOGC!!!) after that, we did some shoot fot the segment spiels with Mr. Ivan Mayrina...
and then, sir arvin, our executive producer invited me to join him to do some preview...so there...10 hours to go!!!!!

10th,11th,12th and 13th day...

days have passed with same routines...helped the researchers in filing videos needed in their segments...i remember the day kiko magalona died,,oh my!it was such a very stressful and tiring day because majority of the shows here changed some of their episodes for a kiko special...but im proud in a way to watch the finish product knowing that im one of the persons who did the library search for that segment...so there...

13th day was kinda funny for our segment producer,sir arvin already evaluated me for the reason that he's excited to do so!hahaha but its ok and even though i already have my evaluation, i would still want to finish my internship because its fun working with them!hahahaha so there...

8th and 9th day

8th day was a fun and at the same time, sad day...sad because jerome my co-intern from CEU is done with his internship...but happy because we had a nice farewell(pizza) party with the beat team...wen also had a nice time talking to the team and discovered that majority of the staff and boss here in Qtv were from PUP...we really had so many stories about their college life and the professors that they hated! hahaha ....

9th day, back to normal, but this time, without a companion...first thing in the morning I ws tasked to do some research and file retrieving at the central library of GMA...its fun that now, i know how to use their system in retrieving files and video...after lunch, just did some paper works, cracked jokes with the beat people,etc... so there...

7th day

nothing's really new...same tasks were done this day...paper works, preparing forms needed in future shoots, made and anwered phone calls,etc...aside from that, this day was kinda sad because its the last day of my co-intern from CEU...sad 'coz I got no companion for the next weeks...

6th day

the program was preparing a review of Dra. Vicky Belo...one of the researchers asked me to help her in retreiving some of the files in the past interviews of the doctor...it was a surprise to learn from the Pm of showbiz central that the said doctor requested to hold those files and asked not to make anything about her while the issues are still hot...powerful, isn't she?...after lunch, we shoot some spiels for valerie tan, correspondent of the beat...late afternoon, i spent my time doing errands in retrieving some files in the central library...so there..

5th day

there were a lot of activities this day...sir tj, the administrative officer for news and public affairs asked us to do the media id...during that time, someone approached if i want to be a talent for a fit and fab episode...it was fun and the people were so nice...after that the PA of the beat invited me to observe in doing some plug materials...he taught me some of the basics in linear editing...it was nice cause i was able to ask some question about his work and other stuff...so there...

3rd and 4th day... "not today!"

nothing's really new about this day...first quarter of the day was very quiet because people usually come at the office after lunch...what i usually do during those boring moments is that i always try to research for some segment proposals because our EP is asking me to do some..so there...watching tv, reading some magazines,etc. after lunch,there! office becomes noisy...i usually render assistance in preparing some of the documents needed in their upcoming shoots...did some phonecalls, answering phonecalls, and all..

i also witnessed how frustrated people might become whenever there are some problems with ther productions...whenever this happen, they always say "not today!"

2nd day... management issues of rumors

nothing so special about my second day here at "the beat". like my first day, people from this program asked me to render my assistance in preparing some of the papers needed for their upcoming shoots...i was asked to go to some of the offices here in gma...its also nice to see some of the gma "lords" like Gozon, Duavit, etc. in elevators...gma artists roaming around gma center like ordinary people...remember the assignment i mentioned? yeah, i did some researches about Baler. Unfortunately, i wasn't able to find a detailed map of BaLer...even in National Bookstore, there's no such! hai....anyway its ok...

around 7pm, me and my co-intern from CEU had a nice talk with some of the researchers of "the beat". there i learned some of the issues here in gma regarding with the management...kinda sad...but that's life! hahaha anyway, i guess were going to have some spiels tomorrow for the upcoming episodes of the beat...wish i'll learn something new from that...

orientation and my first day..

It was feb.18 when we took our orientation in GMA. we learned the rules and regulations needed to be followed by the practicumers. Also in that day, programs of assignments were given to us. i was assigned to the program "the Beat".

Feb.20, my first day of internship. When i came at the office, i ws surprised 'coz nobody was there. i waited for several minutes until another intern from CEU arrived. there i learned that people from that program usually come to the office after lunch, nice thing because i have a companion. There I already met the staff like the EP, researchers, segment producer,etc. What i did that day? uhmmm...i asked to prepare a TFR, its a request for cameras whenever programs are about to have their shoots. run some errands for the researchers and for other the beat people. in the late afternoon, Mr. Archie Madrid (ring a bell?!!hehehe) invited me to come with him to preview the segment he produced for the edsa anniversary episode and observe on how editing is done. im so lucky because interns are not allowed to enter the editing place for security purposes. but becayse kuya archie was so nice and a PUP Almni, i was able to enter that floor(good thing i wasn't caught by the guards). So there, that was my first day at "The Beat". i need to go home early for the EP and one of the researchers asked me to do some proposals and researchers.till next time...
